Gujarat government has allowed liquor consumption in Gift City
Gujarat International Finance Tec-City: Gujarat International Finance Tec-City Wine & Dine Hotels, Restaurants, Clubs The Government of Gujarat has permitted the consumption of liquor. Thereby all the employees, owners working in the entire Gift City are given liquor license.
Hotels, restaurants and clubs in Gujarat International Finance Tech-Cities can obtain FL3 license for wine and dine facility. Officially working employees and visitors of Gujarat International Finance Tech-City are allowed to consume alcohol in these establishments. The government notification mentioned that liquor bottles cannot be sold in these places.

The Narcotics and Excise Department oversees the entire process, including supervision and control over import, storage and service of liquor by FL3 licensed establishments in Gujarat International Finance Tech-City.

GIFT City also hosts government-approved and regulated International Financial Services Centers (IFSC). After seceding from Maharashtra, Gujarat has implemented liquor ban.
